Prairie Vista Golf Course

The City of Bloomington opened the Roger Packard-designed Prairie Vista Golf Course on May 17, 1991.  The course, which is an American Contemporary Style, measures 6,745 yards from the Championship Tees and 5,224 yards from the Forward Tees.  USGA Course Ratings and Slope Ratings are 72.2 and 129, respectively.  Bentgrass tees, greens and fairways make this golf course a treat to play.  Water hazards are located on 16 of the 18 holes.

Other amenities include; a large practice putting green, a large practice chipping green (with practice sand bunker) and a grass driving range.  A full-line Golf Shop offers golf equipment and apparel at discount prices.

Prairie Vista was host to the 1997 NCAA Division I Women's East Regional and has been the host course for the Illinois High School Association's Class A Boys State Championship since 1993.  Prairie Vista Golf Course is a Golf Digest "Places to Play" 4-Star Golf Course.
